Video Settings Guide
Short answer
- Default Ultra setting change gamma as needed (brightness) + Disable Chromatic Aberrations for screenshots at night.
Longer one
Why Ultra is 100%
- Leave the Antialiasing at 3rd one (Temporal) , 4th one I only recommend if text looks blurry.
- Its intension is to make round things look rounded and lines to look straightest.
- Very technical on how this is done but they mostly add a “gray” line around Black lines to make it pop out more. and for circles to look more smooth
Dynamic Resolution is for gaining FPS.
Game gets rendered at a lower resolution and then upscaled by the GPU and not by the monitor (1080p/2k Game on a 4K screen vs Pure 4K from game to monitor).
Vsync can be left off as it tries to set the max FPS the same as your Monitors refresh rate. It works on higher end monitors but aint that useful on lower end ones,
- Leave SSAO ON
It is a bit hard to describe but you will notice it gives better definition when a light area is near a dark area on an object.
Without Ambient Occlusion / With Ambient Occlusion
On medium range GPUs
- Set game to default high and
- 1st disable Micro Shadows and then Contact Shadows.
- They are know to lower FPS
- Then lower Grass Render distance.
If your still getting low FPS then go to medium or low settings.
