Astrometica – Tips to Find More Fabric

After you have explored the nearest radius, you may have trouble finding more fabrics. Read this guide. It should help you.

Where to Find More Fabric?

Firstly

When you save and reload the game some stuff respawns. Check the starting I think a few boxes of fabric respawn.

But this may not be enough either. So…

You can disassemble most of the beds you find in the world e.g. in the quarters which also give you some fabric.

Note: Just use N with the Building Tool in your hand. Does not work with all beds but most of them. If debris or e.g. a log is sitting on top you get a message like “Unable to deconstruct”.

The fabric mostly comes from boxes that you need the laser to open. You pretty much need the flashlight to find the laser. But alternalively You don’t need a laser for the fabric boxes. 5 or 6 hits from the scrapper will pop them open. To open large containers with small boxes you really need laser only.

Large shipping containers

Have you seen those large containers that look like shipping containers floating in space. Use your scanner on both ends. You will see where there are four “bolts” that hold the door shut on one end. You blast those with the lazer and it blows the end off. Inside are smaller containers that you’ve seen here and there. Those would sometimes contain fabric.

There is a old broken down part of a base the size of one hub. Inside are at least 8 containers of fabric. To get to it, you need to open a secret door .

More fabric in 1 place

There is at least 1 location looks like a square floating structure that contains 12 boxes of fabrics.

It’s behind a door that doesn’t look like it can be opened but does… hiding lots of fabric.

Looking for floating, rectangle shaped structures. The ones with the square, open airlocks.
