Capybara Go! – S Weapon Guide with New Equipment Swap Function

Weapon Guide with Equipment Swap

Ву Emi.

For this guide, we will have the top tier weapons be:

  • Skysplitter
  • Blade of Justice
  • Durian hammer
  • Whisperer
  • Reaper Staff

Each of these weapons (other than durian hammer) excel in its own special way, while durian hammer is on the list for a… weird consideration. With that out of the way, let’s get into it!

Note on Swords:

  • Swords are pretty much the best budget build in the game for pushing chapters and boss damage. If you do not have a mythic murloc, u should probably not even consider going anything but a sword.

Skysplitter, ol’ Reliable

Veni, Vidi, Vici. Skysplitter came, saw and conquered and has stood under the spotlight of best weapon under public consensus for a while. By now, skysplitter is the most used weapon in the game by a long shot. As a sword, its a well rounder just like its younger sibling that is always bullied for being “worse”.

Blade of Justice, Saviour of Wallets

Look. I’m tired of this. Blade of Justice is good, and I’m tired of pretending it’s not. In fact I am gonna go as far as to say that it’s the best weapon in the entire game. As the banner its on has the Bloody Grail and Judgment ring, for pretty much every player, they will pull on this banner until they get at least one mythic Bloody Grail and Judgment ring. Which means we have to do…

Cost Analysis:

On this banner, Blade of Justice and other weapons have a 3.2:2.2 ratio compared to other weapons. (If you all care enough to ping me, I’ll do a short write-up explanation.) This means that you get 45% more copies of BoJ compared to other weapons. In other words, if you go for a BoJ mythic and then equipment swap it into a different weapon, it costs you 15.375 copies of the second weapon rather than 18. Yes, it costs an equipment swap ticket, but an equipment swap ticket is worth 10 panda shards. Would you trade 10 panda shards for 3 S weapon boxes? I would.

For these reasons, I would recommend ALWAYS going boj first, and if you want an upgrade after mythic BOJ, you can choose then.

Note on Bows:

  • Bows give the weapon crit stat which is pretty much useless on every single build except…

Whisperer, Boss Shredder

Whisperer is theoretically the highest dps weapon in the game. Scaling off skills like rage dagger, combo dagger, combo mastery, it utilizes the weapon crit in its passive for its skill of launching 2 daggers every basic crit, which is frankly massive at 100% crit. With its new Zhanxian Flying Knife, it officially does more dps compared to Skysplitter even without skills if both have equal “premium” stats (skill crit, crit dmg, skill dmg, combo rate, etc). However, as a bow, it gets weapon crit. Which yes, it does need, but also means it gets less premium stats. womp womp.

Note on Hammers / Spears:

  • Counter Rate is a semi-premium stat. For most cases, 100% counter rate is equivalent to +1 combo (the exception of course being stuff like combo and counter mastery, as well as multiple enemy hits).

Durian, Experimental Monster

Or just a cool gimmick…

Durian hammer isnt really on the same level as the above 3 in pve content, but 100% competes in pvp content. But is that enough to make this list? Not really. The reason it’s on the list is because of Wukong. In my opinion, Wukong fails to deal enough damage to make it an appealing alternative to Dragon Girl. What it does do however, is provide a MASSIVE effect of 45% chance for a 20% shield, TWICE per counter, at star5. Because nobody has Wukong right now, I hesitate to say that its top tier, however, it makes the list as it is at least viable everywhere, competitive in pvp and offers a niche of being a counter rate weapon and the only true viable “tank” weapon in the game.

Note on Staffs:

  • Staffs get skill damage, which is a premium stat, but in quantities that are very much not premium. I won’t go too much into it, just know that like hammers and spears, staffs do at least make use of their stat, but are disadvantaged in stats in most content compared to swords.

Reaper Staff, PvP Menace

I’m sorry, Reaper Staff, I really am. I’ve doubted you plenty, and frankly, I still kind of do. Of all the weapons that are top-tier in the game, I have always doubted your place. Yet, I would be doing a disservice to everyone if I tried to say Reaper Staff is not a top-tier weapon.

Just like the Durian Hammer, it fulfills the niche of being the only viable staff. Unlike Durian, however, the Reaper Staff stands on its own two feet, REFUSING to cave to the combo meta. Again and again, with things like Heaven’s Mark, Dragon Girl, Diego, and Vulture, which benefit other weapons more, it seems that somehow, Reaper Staff just never dies. With the insane effect of its Death Bolts outputting crazy bolt damage, ramping up its global bolt damage, getting many bolt damage multipliers, and having skills like Multiple Bolt that increase its bolt output, Reaper Staff somehow manages to stay strong despite not receiving much in the way of content that buffs it.

And I haven’t gotten to PvP yet, where Reaper Staff somehow continues reigning the PvP meta (I’m staying in Platinum Battle to have more fun, so if this is wrong, contact anyone but me; I don’t take responsibility for my own words). Do I recommend Reaper Staff? As usual, no. But I have been wrong about Reaper Staff again and again, so maybe a grain of salt or two wouldn’t hurt.

Conclusion

No matter what, you should use Balde of Justice before mythic. It is much cheaper to get it to mythic, swap it for a different weapon and use that rather than getting copies of a different weapon, and of the 3 weapons on that banner, Balde of Justice is by far the best.

After mythic, keep on Balde of Justice if you really don’t feel the need to swap, or swap to one of the other 4 depending on preference based on what I outlined. If you want advice for people on a lower budget…
