Destiny 2 – Build Guide: Ticuu’s Gamble Hunter

This build is designed to take advantage of a weird interaction I learned about a few days ago.

Ticuu’s Gamble Hunter Guide

Did You Know?

The tracking shots from Ticuu’s Divination can lock on to the grenade from Gunpowder Gamble, letting you hit it by just aiming in the same general direction (most of the time)?

Since the build doesn’t rely on it’s exotic armor for anything in particular, you can basically slot whichever Hunter exotic you want.

Some Options Include:

  • Celestial Nighthawk (What I Did).
  • Star-Eater Scales.
  • Caliban’s Hand.
  • Oathkeeper.

I wouldn’t use Shards of Galanor here since that would require taking Knock em Down, which both removes the buff from On your Mark and also costs a Fragment slot.

Stat Priority: 100 Resilience > 100 Discipline > Recovery

Some Notes:

  • Ember of Benevolence is really good, but if you don’t want to play around it just use Ember of Singeing.
  • The hip-fire aim on Ticuu’s locks on to the first 3 targets it “sees”, keep that in mind.
  • The Catalyst makes the weapon infinitely better, letting you actually keep the damage buff from Causality Arrows up (stack to +101% explosion damage).
  • Ticuu’s only really works if you use it as your main weapon, use Kinetic and Heavies that only require a quick swap to kill Majors/Bosses (I recommend ALH/Recomb Mountaintop and Recon/BnS Apex Predator).
