There are different cars in the game. The Mopped is the cheapest and most fuel-efficient. It’s good for daily use and traveling around the map. The Yellow Car is a bit more expensive but has a bigger tank and inventory. The Blue Car costs even more but has an even bigger tank and inventory. The Offroad Car is the most expensive and has the biggest tank and inventory, but it uses the most fuel.
I did an experiment to find out the Offroad Car’s gas mileage. I compared it to the Mopped by driving 200 units between two places. The Mopped used 0.3L of its 1.5L/100km mileage. The Offroad Car used 1.4L of its 7L/100km mileage.
The best way to move around the map is to use the Mopped with military clothes and a big backpack. One big can of gas should let you go around the whole map. You should carry two cans to make sure you never run out.
The smallest boat is also very fuel-efficient. You can easily travel the river route that connects several places on the map. It’s fast and handles well in the river and between small islands.
In the end, the starter boats and the Mopped are the best vehicles to use. They’re the most fuel-efficient. You should only use bigger vehicles when you need to move a lot of items or travel long distances without stopping.
If you’re just getting to the middle of the game, don’t spend your limited money on the expensive Offroad Car. It’s better for later in the game. If you really need a vehicle with a lot of space, the Blue Car is a better choice. Otherwise, stick with the Mopped to get the best gas mileage and carry what you need with clothes and bags.
