Dungeonborne – Priest Build Guide

Build Guide for Priest

  • Pity of Death I + Dragon Scale I + Drunk Alchemist I 39/40
  • Weapon of choice: Dual Lightning Staff

Played in Trios, Plays with an aggressive non-undead team. Recommended team – Blademaster, Rogue.

The intention for this priest is full utility and support. Play the mid or back line in combat. Use the lightning staff to zone enemies into fights with teammates and reduce retreat options. Use your abilities to assist the team fight and provide healing. Based off of the low expectation of direct unblocked damage the affixes were chosen to add survivability.

Dragon Scale combined with the invulnerability bubble reduces the odds of an enemy instantly killing the priest. This allows you to support your team for the initial attacks while also burning enemies cooldowns.

Pity of Death allows for hail mary and last second team saves. If your team wipes and you are able to use pity of death to escape, you will be able to recover your teams bodies. While unlikely, In a previous playtest I was able to pull this off and my team came back to win the second team fight. It also assists prevent the priest dying immediately in the team fight.

Drunk Alchemist can grant you a mana potion. I was on the fence of this affix. The reason I ended up choosing it is because if you run out of mana it becomes a huge issue. While the build does have high survivability it has no assistance with damage. If your team is still alive you can easily assist in melee even functioning as an off tank for a short time if needed.

By focusing so heavily on support it allows the classes better suited to combat to focus on damage.

I appreciate your time and hope this little tutorial was helpful.
