Main Ideas

• The embodiment of all game mechanics are the statistics of the player.
• These statistics include: Mana (MP), Blood (HP), Defense (DEF), Attack, etc.
• To understand a game, you must first understand these stats, and the effects they have.
• Before spending your diamonds, coins or $, first confirm that what you’re buying is useful to you, and your playstyle.
• Do not let the BR number influence your decisions. It is completely unreliable in portraying your actual ability. Only your stats portray your actual ability.

Common Misconceptions

Do not subconsciously form connections between multiple concepts.

Examples of this misconception:

• The skill, Magic Practice, does not necessarily improve the magic you use.
• The stat, Triggered Magic Power, is not related to the mage playstyle.
• The stat, Weapon Deals Additional Elemental Damage, is treated as phyiscal damage instead of magical damage.

Just because the equipment has a lot of blue/green text on it doesn’t mean it’s useful for the player.

Equipment analysis (Example)

• Red represents something only useful/effective for melee attacks.
• Blue represents something useful for mages.
• Black represents something useless for the player.

This weapon is commonly used by beginner mages who aren’t familiar with the game. However, a majority of this weapon’s features do not apply to magic.

This ring is just absolutely useless. The downside in speed is far greater than the +10 STR you get, and the other text is useless for the player.

Simplified guide for finding effective/useful equipment for your playstyle:

In Elona, there are three main playstyles: Ranged, Melee, and Mage. This guide will mainly cover the more obscure special terms which only appear on red equipment.

Stats Useful for All Players to do more Damage

• Increases Physical and Magic Crit DMG by X
• Increases the damage towards enemies with more than 80% health by X%
• Ignores X% of the enemy’s RES (When this number is greater than 100, the damage increases exponentially)
• Missed attacks have a X% chance to become forced hits

Stats Useful for All Players to Survive Longer

• CON (It Increases your HP more than Will or STR)
• Becomes immune to x% of physical and magic damage (Reduces the damage you take)
• Increases Max Shield by x%
• X% of the damage is converted into healing (converts the damage you do to enemies into healing)
• Magic Parry Rate +% (Chance to ignore magic damage)
• Hp Growth (Increases your HP)
• % of attack Recovers shield

Stats Useful for Melee Players

• Melee Counter Chance
• Increases Physical Crit Cap by X%
• Penetrates X% Def
• Tactics, Crit, Additional Hit +%, Weapon deals additional Elemental Damage %

Stats Useful for Mages

• Increases Magic Crit by X (when you land a critical hit, it skips the enemy’s evasion. Therefore, all critical hits are also guaranteed hits.)
• Offensive Casting Echo (Chance to cast an additional spell)
• Magic Power (Improves the magic’s effectiveness and duration)
• Magic Power +%
• Offensive Casting Echo Cap
• Absorbs x% of magic crit dmg into healing
• Magic, Elemental Mastery.

Note: any term that contains Triggered Magic does not have any relation to mages.

Stats Useful for Ranged Players

• Ranged Counter Chance
• Frozen MP is converted to DEF
• The character’s total Defense increases physical attack

Marksman, Additional Shot +%, weapon deals additional elemental damage.
