  • When putting veg ingredients into the burger, if it’s more than one, eg 3 tomatoes, right click to pick up the tin and left click to place them. This is quicker than one ingredient at a time.
  • Lay your trays out to speed up service.
  • You can toast your buns (although it won’t be indicated how they are toasting) – good luck not burning them.
  • Set up your burgers pre opening by putting the burger paper then open buns and the burgers without any ingredients. You can use separate sides of the counter, one for single and one for double (I cook 12 patties which is usually enough).
  • Cook 3 lots of fries with a bag loose on the side just incase. Put the fries in the box and store in the slots.
  • Never pre make drinks or ice cream.
  • Clean up at the end of the day.
  • Fully load your ingredients at the end of the day and sauces.
  • Any food you have left over must be placed in the big freezer by the back door, or it will disappear overnight due to spoilage.

Solo vs Co-Op

Playing solo to the end, I just made sure to have as much prep done as possible before opening in the morning. I cooked all the burgers, had the fries cooked, had papers with half a bun in them already and one burger patty sitting there, and had trays out. When an order came in, I would do the drink (as there is a period of time the cup needs to fill up), make the burger while that happens, and then add fries and ice cream if needed and run it out to the table. If I had time to grab a tray and cash from the table on the way back I would; otherwise, I didn’t worry too much. I was able to keep up the pace to never have more than two orders waiting. But it could be luck if those orders were easy or more complicated.

With a friend it was easier, as it didn’t seem to get any more difficult with two of us over just me. We followed the same prep setup, and then we took it in turns, but we effectively split it so one person did the register, ice cream, and drinks and had a tray ready, while also taking it to the table, while the other person crafted the burger and got fries if needed. The pace of customers didn’t offer a challenge at this point because we could get everything on a tray within seconds of them sitting down.

How to Make Coffee

Regular Coffee

  • Press the coffee button (bottom) one time. This gives you a cup that’s 70% full.

Double Coffee

  • Press the coffee button (bottom) two times. This fills the cup completely (100%).

Coffee with Milk

  • First press the coffee button once. Then heat the milk using the top button until it reaches 70 degrees. Add milk by pressing once – this adds 15% milk, making the cup 85% full.

Coffee with Extra Milk

  • Press the coffee button once. Heat the milk first using the top button until it reaches 70 degrees. Then add milk by pressing twice. This gives you a cup with 70% coffee and 30% milk.

Cheeseburger Trick

When cooking a burger, put the cheese on immediately after flipping it. This way, the cheese melts while the second side cooks. If you wait until both sides are fully cooked before adding cheese, the bottom will burn while you’re waiting for the cheese to melt.

That’s really all there is to it – flip, add cheese right away, and you’ll get a perfectly melted cheeseburger without burning it.

Food Storage Tips

Food stored in boxes like tomatoes, lettuce, onions, and pickles can stay outside the fridge without disappearing.

But if you have vegetables or cheese in containers, they must go in the fridge or they’ll vanish the next time you load the game.

For sauces, it depends if they’re opened or not. Once you open a can of sauce, it needs to go straight in the fridge or it’ll be gone next time you play.

But unopened cans are totally fine to keep anywhere, so you can save that precious fridge space.

The basic rule is pretty simple – anything in containers or that’s been opened needs to be in the fridge, while boxed veggies and unopened cans can stay out on the counter.
