Tips and Tricks for New Tank Players

Stats Tooltips

On your stats page you can click on any stat and a tooltip will pop up.

Transfering Tiers from Old Gear to New Gear 

Any gear that has not been crafted into legendary gear using a crystal can easily have their tier be transferred to another piece of gear. If your current gear requires more than one recourse to advance to the next tier when transferring you want to select the amount needed to get the current gear to the next tier. 

Example:

You’d want to give the new ring a total of 2 rings including your old ring.

To do this you will need to click:

After selecting the desired number of rings it should look like:

(If you crafted a gear into legendary you need to craft again if you were to try to transfer the tier this way. Better to wait till you have a higher lvl of the gear in question if possible).

Toggling Things on Manual / Auto 

Click and hold to open up a menu where you can manually select what skills you want on manual / auto.

FAQ for New Tank Players

Class Change

What is CC?

Class change. We start at cc0 Swordbearer, move onto cc1, Sword Adept, then cc2, Swordmaster, etc.

What Changes with Every CC?

You get a new talent tree and 4 new exclusive skills you can pull from the new class gacha:

• 1 Core.
• 1 Tactical.
• 2 Passives.

Can I Use Old Skills and Talent Trees After CC?

Yes. However, exclusive skills for a class only really synergize with their designated class talent tree.

When Can I Use Shield Slam?

When we can switch to Sword Adept (cc1) which unlocks at lvl 80 after the lvl cap lifts.

Melomons

What Melomons Should I Wish For?

General recommendations is:

• 2 Demon Hound & 1 Ice Valley Colt.

Or…

• 3 Demon Hound (for whales or you wanna gamble).

Why Not Blade Hound?

Blade Hound can be bought in the store:

• The store will always have blade hound in it every week.

Other issues:

• Only 15% DMG reduction from awakening.
• The dmg reduction does not increase with lvl.

Therefore Blade is a DPS pet first, Tank pet second.

Why Get 2+ of a Pet?

Copies of a pet give you fragments that you can use to upgrade a pet’s awakening and special.

I Wished for a Blade Hound Now What?

• 2 Demon Hound.
• 1 Demon Hound & 1 Ice Valley Colt.
• 1 Blade Hound & 1 Demon Hound (if you really want to go the blade hound route).

What Pet Moves Should I Use?

Whatever moves you need to achieve your stat goals.

What Legendary Skill Should I Get in the 300 Pull Chest?

It’s generally a good idea to wait till class change 1 (cc1):

• You will get more cards to use on a new gacha.
• This gacha has most of the same skills as previously.
• Minus the ones that are exclusive to Swordbearer.

Safe Options:

• Berserker.

• Blade Armor.

• Stalwart Shield.

• Banner of Courage.

• Fearless Vanguard.

• Stalwart Blood.

Others That Work:

• Perseverance (I don’t use this as much).

• War Cry (doesn’t boost your taunting abilities).

Gear

Should I Keep My Energy Set Pieces? (CC0 Gear)

Keep your gloves and helm. Using pairs of gear for the ATK buff is very common in later game.

Mounts

What Mounts Should I Use?

• Tanks

• DPS

• Early DPS

Why Not Ralf the Wolf?

• The pet skill DMG is split between all enemies.
• This is fine for bosses but doesn’t work that great for main story.
