Guide on How to Beat 27-60 T-Rex
Why is T-Rex difficult? T-Rex, in my opinion, is difficult largely due to the fact that it can arguably be considered one of if not the first “real” boss, in the sense that you can’t just play “whatever” into it and expect to win. Trex has two things mechanics the bite and the roar. I’ll break down how to deal with each.
The bite. Every turn the trex will eat the highest attack unit. While eaten they can’t attack and will die if trex swallow them at end of turn. Here’s what you can do.
- Freezing T-Rex (it’s weak to frozen status and instantly spits out the target if you can freeze it)
- Running Chiyome as your highest attack unit (T-Rex will try and bite her but will bite clones instead.
Next we deal with the roar. The most common answers are;
- Takenaka: shields allies each turn to keep team alive.
- Helen: her passive heals her team for 12% of her max hp a total of twice per turn wjen gettng crit. It’s not much but it adds up.
- Carmen (ee50) Carmen has the ability to immune herself to the roar of T-Rex 50% of the time, as well as striking back with counter attacks.
Making the Teams:
Team 1: Takenaka freeze Takenaka/Catherine/Romulus/Artemis. The 5th pick is open ended and can be another dmg dealer or Ares if your Takenaka is having trouble surviving the bite. This team will use Take as sword and shield to beat the roar while keeping the T-Rex frozen. Artemis is essential to “freezelock” T-Rex.
Special notes. Takenaka needs to be the slowest member on the team. This is so that when the boss spits out take, she casts her shield/take actions. If she’s faster than the freezers, her turn gets “skipped” while inside the trex.
Team 2: This team is more open ended in terms of dps. Some examples (shown in the photos below):
- Carmen/Chiyo/Zhen/Helen/Izumo
- Chiyo/Jing/Helen/Zhen/Izumo
- Carmen/Zhou Yu/Zhen/Izumo/Helen
The list goes on, but the basic concept is either chiyo/carmen to tank the bites+helen&izumo to heal and then a 2nd dps and zhen for a little more dmg.
