I wanted to share what I use so hopefully you can progress further and complete the various PVE content with more ease.
Late Game Guide to Plume Monarch PVE/PVP Build

Gear
- Combo = Crit > Evasion = Stun
Stack as much combo and crit on gear as possible, a few evasion/ stun pieces here and there is ok as long as it doesn’t drop your combo/ crit too low.
Stats ratio
Concerning Plume Monarch, we really want to have a good balance between our Combo % and our Crit Rate (CC) %. This of course depends of your Combo Damage and your Crit Damage.
Usually, you want to aim at 80% Combo and 50% Crit Rate, but this can change depending of your equipment and your level. The more you have CC damage the more you should balance your Combo and CC equally (with always combo priorized).
Here’s a list of good ratios:
- 80% Combo / 50% CC
- 85% Combo / 55% CC
- 90% Combo / 65% CC
- 100% Combo / max possible CC
As crossbow, the mask relic allows up to exchange 10% Combo for 10% CC and vice versa, use this to be more versatile and build a good ratio.
Some examples of ratios comparison, assuming you have a decent combo and crit dmg
- 70% Combo / 30% CC > 80% Combo / 20% CC
- 80% Combo / 15% CC > 90% Combo / 5% CC
- 80% Combo / 70% CC > 90% Combo / 60%% CC
- 90% Combo / 50% CC > 100% Combo / 40% CC
Class Awakening
With the recent awakening seal presets it makes choosing what you want for the specific content you are doing easy.
PVE
Stack Global Atk, Crit & Basic Atk then put some into HP & def if needed
PVP
Global Atk & HP are priority
- Crit next
- Crit res after
- Then Basic Atk & Def
Depending on where you’re at with stats in other areas will change how much you put into Def, Crit res & basic Atk
Talents
With the changes to the talent trees and the addition of the tamer tree, a lot has changed, the best changes are the Crit & Crit res nodes.
Talents are very different for everyone depending on how many feathers you have, use the examples below as a guide for your own progression.
PVE
This is what I currently use for PVE.
- Get blue end node / Yellow node
- Max out Crit & Combo
- Get base stats (more ATK)
- Get basic atk dmg
- Max out Atk Speed
PVP
Talent builds in PVP are a bit trickier to gauge as every player is at a different stage with talent feathers, because of this your own talent build will vary on how much you can put into certain nodes/ multiple of the same node.
Priority nodes
- At least one end archer node
- (blue/ yellow)
- Base stats to minimum 10
- Crit dmg to minimum 10
- Combo to minimum 10
- Crit res to minimum 10
- ATK Speed to minimum 10
- Later game – Ignores to minimum 5
- Resistances 5-10
It’s best to make separate talent builds for resistances/ ignores depending on the class you are fighting.
New PVP
18087 Feathers
Unlocked end yellow archer node.
Swapped to blue fury for crit over crit res.
My plan is to use the red archer and tamer tree to stack resistances with more feathers.
OLD PVP
16045 feathers
Combo ignore/ resist becomes counter when fighting warriors (seperate talent preset)

Prayer Statue
I personally use X5 Combo now i have my global atk soul, before i used X4 Combo X1 Atk.
Souls
Pink soul priority is
- ATK > HP > DEF > Combo > Basic ATK > Crit > Crit RES
Note: Go combo sooner if you want the extra boss dmg otherwise do this after the globals.
As for levelling up your souls everyone is at a different stage but you want to prioritise ATK, HP, Combo & Crit (aiming for a minimum of 30 in each).
Then DEF, CRIT RES (minimum of 20 in each) then BASIC ATK (you can keep at lvl 1 until later game as the benefits are minimal).
Note: put more into crit res for PVP and less for PVE.
What i currently use
Runes
Set bonuses will come in time but don’t be too fixated on them, if you have a well rolled rune with the main stat and passives use it.
Early Game
- X4 COMBO x2 ATK
Later Game
- X4 Crit X2 Combo(PVE) / X2 Crit RES(PVP)
- Runes 1 – 3 main stats are fixed with HP, ATK & DEF
- Rune 4 – Combo
- Rune 5 – Basic ATK Resist (PVE) Counter/ Combo Resist (PVP)
- Rune 6 – Crit DMG (Crit RES for a tankier PVP build)
- Sub stats – Combo DMG, Global Basic ATK DMG, Ignores, Resists (depending on pve or pvp)
Artifacts
- F2P – Hammer
- Beastroar Bow
- Scythe (paired with Carpet)
- Flaming Carnage
- Siren’s Whisper
- Tear Attack
- Webbed Chainsaw
Mounts
PVE
F2P – Best DPS mount for PVE
Great for stunning bosses
F2P – Paired with eye of raven you have a chance to get multiple clones
PVP
3 seconds of death immunity on fatal hit plus during this time ignore new control effects, 10% buff to all crit, next basic atk deals massive dmg & deal 8% of max HP to enemies, after 3 seconds you die.
Control immunity at the start of battle plus ATK and DMG res buff
F2P – Straight up dmg res & duration reduction of control effects
Big DEF boost every 11 secs with good DMG at the end of the buff
Progressive dmg res & duration reduction of control as you lose HP
F2P – ATK, HP, DMG reduction buffs as HP gets lower
Back Accessories
- F2P – Emerald Embrace
- Cosmic Rescue
- Trapped Wrath
- Pepe-Style Thruster
- Summer Parasol
- Virtual Connection
Avians
PVE: 3 Shooter
Note: If you have any avians with any of these passive combos, use them until you can get a well rolled 3 shooter.
Multiple Shots, All round hit, rage bonus, shroom combo, one-sided attack, super league, super crowd control, Against the strong, Enhanced attack, Super attack
PVP: Sunshine Bringer (if you have panda mount use another avian)
Note: Avians active skill in pvp aren’t the be all and end all so if you have any other avian with great passives use it.
Meteor Feather, No Speeding, Multiple shots, All round hit, rage bonus, shroom combo, one-sided attack, super league, super crowd control, Enhanced attack, Debuff immunity, Barrel dodge, Super attack
PVE Builds
For artefacts / Back accessories, use the best DPS ones you have.
Bosses
I use this setup for bosses on 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 including Soul Trial bosses & Abyssal Portal.
Can also be used to clear stages between bosses.
Delay dazzled by 4-5 seconds (you may need to adjust by .05 secs either way) & clone strike by 1 second. (You may need to adjust clone delay by .05 secs).
Blitz is an alternative for survival once clone has gone.
Mount: Horizon Racer (great to launch boss and stop incoming damage).
or Pyrebreaker.
Deer & Turtle can be swapped in for survival.
Hydroprite can be used if you lack damage but can survive for another skill rotation.
Slime, Snake, Bid Daddy, Croc
I use this setup to clear bosses 1, 2, 9, 10 including Soul Trial bosses, chrono & molten ruins.
I delay Clone 0.5sec.
Can also be used to clear stages between bosses.
Mount: Horizon Racer (great to launch boss and stop incoming damage)
or Pyrebreaker.
Note: Bunny pal & Racer mount are integral for this build to work properly as they both help to stop the boss from reaching you.
Deer can be used for survival.
Eggplant can be used for more.
Blazing Cave/ Max Damage
I use this setup for blazing Cave, Cross Server Showdown Towers & Sailing season ruins boss.
Delay clone by 0.5 secs.
Mount: Pyrebreaker.
Bird can be swapped for Benny.
Mobs
I use this build to clear stages between bosses, the late rev mobs hit hard.
Delay clone 0.5secs.
Delay blitz 5 secs (may need to adjust depending on how long your own clone lives).
Turtle can be used for more survival.
Mob Build
PVP Build
This is my current PVP setup for arena / cross arena.
I use Hammer and Alien Dimension, Use any of the mentioned in the artefact/ back section above.
Mount: Boat – good all round defensive mount, use any mounts mentioned in the mount section above.
Turtle can be swapped out for Hero Bird to counter pre blitz.
For brawl & cross-server showdown you can swap out smoke/ easy breezy for nature’s renewal to heal at the start of the next fight if you need the healing.
