MARVEL SNAP – Young Avengers (Wong/Wiccan) Combo Deck Build

They Said I Wiccan’t. I Proved Them Wong! Deck

By Majesticburger.

This is a combo deck that focuses on either using a bunch of on-reveal cards with Wong/Odin to generate gigantic amounts of points or leveraging the +2 energy from Wiccan to make devastating plays your opponent would never expect. You can also disguise yourself as a regular Wiccan deck during t1 & t2 with Quicksilver & Zabu/Psylocke, which can earn you some free retreats

For your Wiccan package, we have Quicksilver, Zabu, Psylocke, and Wiccan. Quicksilver is here to ensure that wiccan’s ability is live, while Psylocke and Zabu cheat him out on turn 3. Zabu is on double duty in this deck, as you can cheat out Wong on turn 3 with it. Psylocke is on TRIPPLE duty in this deck, as she allows you to cheat out both Wiccan/Wong and be played on turn 5 after you’ve used Wiccan to have a 3 cost + Odin play on T6

Wiccan does a surprisingly amount of things for this deck. It gives you extra energy, which allows you to make more plays. Because you’re able to play more cards, you can even win games where your Wong got hit with Enchantress/Rogue! You can also play Ajax and Hazmat on the same turn to surprise your opponent.

For the Wong combo package, we have Ironheart, Wolfsbane, Wong, White tiger, and Odin. You should be familiar with what they do. But, in case you don’t, the plan is to play a 3 cost on an empty location, play Wong on that location, then follow up with white tiger and Odin. While simple, it puts up a huge amount of points across 2-3 locations that is hard for your opponent to contest.

Finally, we have the Ajax package consisting of Hazmat, Cassandra Nova, and Ajax. Ajax and Hazmat can be used together on a single turn if you’ve successfully used Wiccan’s effect before turn 5. Cassandra is here as a way for you to win the Arishem matchup. In fact, this package is mainly used as a way to be able to compete with the raw power output of an Arishem deck.

Playlines

  • Turn 1: If you have Psylocke/Zabu in hand, consider playing quicksilver. If you have wiccan in hand, play quicksilver.
  • Turn 2: If quicksilver on t1, Zabu/Psylocke. If Wong in hand, play Zabu/Psylocke. Always play Zabu over Psylocke.
  • Turn 3: If quicksilver on t1 and Zabu/Psylocke on t2, wiccan/Wong. Otherwise play Cassandra/Ironheart/Wolfsbane.
  • Turn 4: Wong/Wiccan, or two 3 cost cards if wiccan on 3. Play Wong on a location with either no cards or one of your 3 cost on-reveals.
  • Turn 5: If wiccan effect is used, Wong + 3 cost if no wong yet, Ajax + Hazmat or White Tiger + Psylocke. If no Wiccan effect used, play White Tiger on location with Wong.
  • Turn 6: If Wiccan effect used and psylocke on t5, 3 cost + odin on wong location. If wiccan effect used and no Psylocke on t5, Ajax+ Hazmat or Odin. If no wiccan effect used and regular wong combo playline chosen, Odin.
