Since playing with Kinno, I’ve done well enough to say that every version of her has gotten me either close to Floor 30 or on Floor 30.
Build Guide to Kinno
By Sinister-Sama
Her Kit
The Arcanum Set with an additional 45% Magical Power on person.
This leads her into a very burst damage playstyle with a lot of her heavy lifting used by her perk trees.
Her Perks and Trees
Kinno (Invul)
Invul seems to be her toughest to start because her Invul is at Floor 11 (Ten Floors Deep) and it’s rather meh to get a decent build if you don’t know what’s good enough overall.
Her Coin Tree is a good way to make money fairly early. The problem is that if you get to her follow up perks from coin gain, it’s either more coin gain or it leads into one of the two crit trees (with crit damage being the only one with extra attacks per turn on the follow up).
- 4/5 Difficulty for Beginners
Her Energy Tree is possibly her best perk from Invul because every portion of that tree comes with extra attacks and that’s huge for her. You can mold a good run from here.
- 2/5 Difficulty
Her Faith Tree has a very, VERY decent snowball effect, but you need to get going for that to be a thing. It comes with NO extra attacks and will very much force you to take the Trial of Swarm to get extra attacks when not using a Swiftness Weapon. The Faith Gain is not bad and so is the extra armor, but it facilitates a very armor eccentric type of play style that I’m not willing to expose beginners to.
- 3.5/5 Difficulty
Kinno (Evade)
Evade really gets going and to be fair, all three trees in this section are decent in some way. Since Evade is working with Energy and Agility chances, it’s the easiest to get set up for early game and one of the three trees have been explained already (The Energy Tree). Once you get to Floor 6, Evade is online.
Her Attack Tree has a lot of flexibility between Physical, Magical and Elemental and all of them are backed by the tree’s extra attack. A rather easy start for Kinno newbies.
- 1/5 Difficulty
Her Attack Tree was mentioned back at Kinno Invul. Refer to that.
Her Magical Tree is by far her toughest tree in Evade. There’s no bonus attack and two of the three branches (Her Magical Damage and Innate Insight) are identical to each other. Only her Wisdom Branch has variety (Elemental Power and Malice with Insight present in this branch as well). Definitely her Evade hard mode tree.
- 3.5/5 Difficulty
Kinno (Stun)
Her Stun Root is weird. On one end, the shield breaks, it stuns. Yay. The bad news, unlike the Invulnerability from Invul or the dodging capabilities from Evade, you’re a sitting duck for the most part. Stun gets online starting Floor 8.
Her Penetration Tree is very cut and dry. You either get more penetration to go straight for the HP (Bypassing the armor), get an extra attack from the Combat Branch (with almost puts you into a Hybrid Phys/Mag build) or you go Power and have to decide for more power or extra flat damage. A tough tree to look into.
- 2.5/5 Difficulty
Her Mana Tree is exactly identical to her Magical Tree back at Evade. Refer to the Magical Tree for my comments.
