Guide to Tyr Cinderthorn 100+ Build
By WelshPixie
Choose the Cinderthorn path: I went Armor > Toughness > Armor.
Early game you want to stack armor; Orion and Turtle set are good (you’ll probably get more overall armor out of Orion since there are more pieces to buff the armor output), grab the two gold rings.
Start collecting mana potions (I was using three later on), TWO Tears of Gold potions (to get past the magma golems on higher floors), and a Tome of Arcanum (for Barrier) and Tome of Darkness (for Confusion).
Disenchants
- 1st Priority: anything that gives you armor and health (cinder damage scales with health).
- 2nd: power, elemental power, wisdom (helps scale up the magic damage you deal as a result of getting hit).
- 3rd: Any good shop rolls that give high elemental damage (Electricity, Toxicity, Malice, Freeze) – I focused mostly on freeze but added in some of the others occasionally.
From floor 8, grab a Ring of Interest. The Absolution passive helps with the Sun mobs.
From floor 9, grab the Emperor’s Will helmet; the ‘all is mine’ passive will make Perfect Slaves FAR less frustrating after floor 60, and this will give you the third gold set item for the Invulnerability set bonus, which will help loads with the higher level magma golems.
From floor 11, start collecting the Magma set and swapping it out for the Orion/Turtle bits you’re wearing; boots, trousers, chest, and finally the necklace on floor 25.
From here, you’ll want to disenchant for: armor (flat and %, check your stats to see which one needs boosting), health (flat and %, as above), elemental power, % power, dazzle, and wisdom from Ring of Unity. I’d also occasionally throw in more freeze (flat and %) damage.
These are the items that give you the best values of the stats you want, but disenchant whatever the shop rolls for you that’s useful (e.g. if you can’t find a Celestial Chestplate for armor, the Turtle set chestpiece is fine, etc.)
Passed 150, still one-shotting things.
