Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2 – Tips for Investing in Brands

TLDR Tips for Deciding which Brands to Invest in

Head or Body

It should have at least 2 terts at lv1, with one of those being a tert you care about.

This is because terts visible at lv1 determine the theoretical stat caps. At 2 terts your theoretical cap for 1 tert is 16%, which is close enough to the 3-terts cap of 20%.

Once the brand is at lv9, I would continue upgrading only if 1 tert is at least 10%. If you don’t have a lot of good brands yet, you could lower this standard to 8%.

Arms or Legs

Make sure the primary is a stat you want, since a primary is a lot harder to fix with stamps than a secondary is. (broadly speaking, 1/12 chance vs 1/4 chance).

If you already have several arms/legs with desirable primaries, you can then focus on terts and apply the same rules as head/body instead.

Though for arms/legs, your ideal terts would probably be supportive things like HP% (if not on a tank brand), dodge%, accuracy%, crit%. Not really Patk% or Matk% that you’d prefer on the primary slot (unless this is an HP% primary brand with Patk% or Matk% tert, which is good).

If an arm/leg tert is really good but the primary is not good, it may be worth trying to fix the primary with stamps. However, remember that the primary/secondary cannot be duplicates of tert stats (i.e. if you have a Patk% tert, then Patk% primary is impossible).
