Raid: The Vault Guide
A short guide to get you going in the Vault fight!
The Vault mainly attacks the entire row with the current highest HP unit in it which generally means it will hit your defenders if you equip them correctly. Keep your other units out of this row to protect them. This attack also applies the Hull Shred debuff, meaning Security is a recommended stat for your defenders or any other units used to take these hits.
After this attack, the Vault will raise a Defensive barrier, which is represented by the bight colored energy wall. This barrier grants the Vault a lot of Security and considerable damage reduction.
Your attackers and debuffers need a good amount of Speed to land their attacks before this happens. You will also need a considerable amount of Hacking to be able to apply your debuffs, as the Vault has quite high Security even without the barrier active.
With every Charged Attack, the Vault will apply a Outgoing Damage over Time Down 2 debuff to all units meaning Cleanse is a valuable tool for your supporters to bring.
At higher difficulties, Brutal and Nightmare, you will also need a unit to attack slower than the Vault to stop its second attack from activating and doing considerable damage to your whole team.
Summary
- Have a high HP Defender in a row by itself.
- Use high Speed Attackers and high Speed and high Hacking Debuffers.
- Supporters should bring any combination of Hacking, Speed, Damage and Security buffs, as well as a group Cleanse.
- On higher difficulties, a slower unit is required to counter the second attack from the Overcharged Barrier.
