Tips and Tricks

Quick tips

Misc. tips

  • Always create space for an area to farm and collect logs in. As well as plan where your infrastructure of technology is going to go. Don’t use up all your logs before making a forester.
  • Make a reservoir as fast as possible, get 2-3 scientists, oak plantations and food plantations asap.
  • Real game begins with dynamite. When you got it you will have so many projects. Not a priority but the fun is explosive.
  • Go fast to go slow – get yourself Badtide/Drought secure, and you can take your time with everything else.
  • Storing more water than you think you need is always a good idea, and don’t build your farms directly on your main waterway unless you’re planning to move them later when you are proofing your farm against bad water. In early game a badwater episode killing your crops can doom your colony if you arent prepared for it.
  • Biggest early unlocks for me are always stairs and forester, then levee, I almost always go for those 3 first, order dependent on the map I am playing and how badly I need trees/water dams/ability to climb.
