Tokyo Ghoul: Break the Chains – Formidable Jason Guide

Guide to Formidable Jason

By 13eom

Important tip

  • Always use 3☆ skills cards because jason can reduce damage from 1 & 2☆.
  • Jason doesn’t get affect by debuffs so lethal won’t work (ayato useless).
  • Jason will apply debuffs on your teams which needs to be cleansed be Receiving Healing (hinami, naki back up).

Ideal team for both players: arima carnival, kaneki, hinami, uta (renji or shachi back up).

For phase 2 When his kakuja arms reach 1%hp it will be immune to death for the rest of the current turn (Kill next turn with arima aoe).

Phase 1

  • Turn 1: Apply shield and do damage (save 1 uta and 1 kaneki cards each player).
  • Turn 2: Weaker player use 2 kaneki cards to stun boss (boss will take 80% less damage so just stun with 2 star skill kaneki and heal).
  • Turn 3-4: Nuke boss or lose.

Phase 2

(Kill arm and then jason) – don’t have instant kill turn 4 i think?

When jason turn starts from now on The arms will auto 1 hit kill someone so you must have arima as this attack focus on wit or psy first (if he is able kill someone this way, he will regain 100% HP bar for both arm and himself).

Afterwards apply weak to jason and start nuking him as this will boost your damage dealt to him.

If you don’t kill the arm at the next turn it will regain death immunity again.

Phase 3

Kill arm first first because it will deal the same amount of damage to jason himself (they have damage sync).

Ignore arm also works in phase 3 which is how I personally cleared it.

Note: The arm takes no damage from ultimate skills.

Jason will apply feeble to everyone which stacks up to 5 times and can only be cleansed by healing (hinami).

In the description there is no death immunity for the arm but said can’t go below 1 HP.
