This short guide for those players who have trouble with Steam Deck’s resolution and display ratio during the Wayfinder gameplay. This is a workaround guide.

How to Fix Steam Deck Resolution / Display Ratio Issues

If you’re having issues configuring settings for Wayfinder on your Steamdeck or experiencing strange shifts in the display ratio try the following steps.

Select Wayfinder in the Steamdeck Interface.
Press the “Options”.
Navigate to “Properties”.
Change the “Game Resolution” option to 3840×2160.
Enable the “Set resolution for internal and external display” option.
Back-Out and launch Wayfinder.

You should then be able to easily modify resolution and other settings without experiencing additional issues or display ratio shifts.

Note: A patch for this problem is in the works. The above is just the workaround until it’s properly fixed.
