Quick Guide to Steam Cloud Save
By Nightangel.
How I managed to get my save files, cause it can be a bit finicky and you can be very prone to deleting your 30+ hour save game on accident.
- Disable the Steam Cloud Save under “Properties” and “Cloud Save” on the device you want to copy the save files to.
- Launch the instance of the game to which you want to transfer the Cloud Save Files.
- Create a new game in each game slot (or just the ones have on your other device) and save them.
- Close the game
- Enable Steam Cloud Save
- Launch the instance of the game to which your Save File should be transferred.
Your Steam Cloud Save should now be visible.
If you DIDN’T disabled the Cloud Save in Steam, before making a new save file but have not yet opened your other game instance, follow these steps.
- Close your game instance from which you want to delete your save files.
- Copy your Save File you want to transfer. Save file are located in:
- C:\Users\YourUsername\AppData\Local\ZERO Sievert
- Delete the Save Files you want to delete from the folder.
- Copy your Save Files to the appropriate Game Folder in your instance of the game you want the Save Files gone from.
You could do this from the start, without relying on Steam Cloud Save, though this requires a person, to be a little bit more tech savvy.
